Is Being Emotional a Weakness?

I have been very sad over the last week.

And since yesterday morning, I cannot stop crying.

My husband and I had to say goodbye to our fur baby, cat Stella.

He was old ( 19 years of age) and has had an amazing life. He was loved tremendously and had two homes.

Stella was our neighbour’s cat, but he was spoiled by me to the hilt.

I am not going to go into much detail as it will derail me.

He will always be in my heart and I will always love him.

I consider myself a pretty rational person but times like these rock my boat and I turn into an absolute cry baby.

I believe, there is nothing wrong with expressing your feelings and emotions, as long as it doesn’t infringe the freedom of others.

If you are sad, embrace that emotion.

If you are angry, let it out.

If you want to cry, go ahead.

I am partly speaking to myself to confirm that it is ok to feel what I am feeling now.

Albert Smith said, “Tears are the safety valve of the heart when too much pressure is laid on it.”

Don’t suppress your emotions. Don’t numb them.
