The other day, I decided to create a movie day for myself. After all, I had had a busy week prior to it. After my usual run, shower and breakfast, I comfortably parked myself on the sofa, watching a comedy-drama (chick movies, as my husband would say) Gilmore Girls, I am talking about:)

After a few hours, I felt this annoyance. I’m not sure whether at myself for being a couch potato or the movie I was so engrossed in. Probably a little bit of both. 🤣

Anyways, I was quite annoyed at the main character of the story. She had so much going on for her: graduation from Yale University at the top of her class, lots of job and apprenticeship offers from prominent companies to build a fantastic career and a marriage proposal from a very fine young man who loved her dearly (and she loved him). Yet, somehow, she managed to blow it all off…

10 years later, she found herself jobless — pursuing flashy journalism gigs leading nowhere, like writing a book about a famous person who is a mad alcoholic despite the obvious genius; homeless — well, living with her mom; and single — well, being a mistress of the same boyfriend whom she rejected before, who is now engaged…
