How to Reprogram Your Mind for Possibility Thinking?
Instead of thinking of what is, why not thinking of what could be.
As I was sitting on Wailea Beach in Hawaii basking in all the beauty and serenity with the noise of crushing waves, I was making some changes in my writing. I tried to spell the word “paragraph”, but the auto corrector for some reason changed it to “paradise”. I smiled with the realisation of how appropriate that little message from the universe was. I was indeed in paradise: Maui island in Hawaii is one of the most magnificent places on earth.
Reflecting on my blessings, I was taken back into my childhood. I remembered when I was a little girl, I loved going through colourful glossy magazines on the world’s most beautiful travel destinations. I was soaking in the beauty and splendour of the photos. Being born in a poor family in Ukraine that was the only luxury affordable to me — dreaming.
I am not sure how those magazines made it to our house; we definitely didn’t buy them. We couldn’t afford to buy anything that wasn’t first need. However, those photos were feeding my open and curious child’s mind, filling it with imagination, hope and dreams.
It makes me sad thinking of those times, because most of the time our family couldn’t afford holidays outside of our town, let alone beautiful world destinations.
