From Poverty in Ukraine to Becoming an International Speaker

When I was a little girl, one of the first books I read was by Dale Carnegie about public speaking. I absolutely loved the content of the book and thought to myself how wonderful it would be to be able to speak one day with such confidence and ease and be able to influence people.

That was the place when my dream of becoming a motivational speaker was birthed. And it was very inspiring, but there was a problem.

I was in Ukraine. And in the 90s just after the collapse of the Soviet Union, there was no such thing as a motivational speaker. The country was in ruins and the idea of personal development was million miles away from the reality I was around.

My dream of becoming a speaker was also a million miles away from me. It was more of like childish fantasy, so far away and so unreachable.

Little did I know at that time that later in my life, I would have become speaker myself, sharing the big stages in the world with world-class speakers, like John Maxwell, Seth Godin, Bruce Lipton…
