Back Pain and Self-Confidence
My back was giving me a minor discomfort. Well, I just didn’t stretch enough after the previous bootcamp, I thought.
Fight fire with fire, they say. So, with that thought I went for another session of an intense workout. I am not a whiner and not going to let small things stop me from my exercise routine.
10 mins in the session, I felt I had aggravated the previously pulled muscle, but the adrenaline rush kept me going.
Sometimes, I can be too keen. Which, as it turns out, isn’t always to my benefit.
After the epsom salt bath, I was almost paralysed. The pain in my upper back and my neck was unbearable every time I attempted to make even the smallest move.
I couldn’t really sit, I couldn’t lie, I couldn’t turn my head. The worst part was getting up from a sitting or lying position.
During moments like these, you begin to appreciate how crucial a healthy back is.
It was significantly limiting my life. I couldn’t do much.
I was thinking, having a healthy back is similar to having strong self-confidence.
In the same way that your back enables you to move freely, your self-confidence pushes you to move forward towards your goals.
Just like with a back pain your movements are significantly limited, with a wobbly self-confidence you won’t go far, because the options will always seem limited from your perspective.
The good news, just like you can cure the back pain with baths and massage (so grateful for my husband, who has been a star looking after his wife), you can increase your self-confidence.
It is not that difficult or complex if you are committed and know how. Click here to find out.
