A Simple Way to Identify if You Have An Abundance Mindset.
I was brought up in the environment where being rich was considered being a crook.
We had a poor life, but we lived “honestly”. Unlike those people who were robbing others to get rich. Rough nineties in the USSR shaped our view on prosperity.
A lot of inner work had to be done around my poverty consciousness.
When I moved to the USA in the search of a better life, I was working so hard but could barely make ends meet.
Intellectually I knew, there were so many honest ways to create wealth, but I was secretly resenting those with a lot of money.
While working at a restaurant and serving rich parties, I was viewed at a second class.
Those people didn’t even look me in the eyes while I was talking to them.
Hearing my accent, they would make some subtle derogatory comments, like, “she is just a servant who can barely speak English, she won’t get it.”
Beside, those who wore the most expensive watches and shoes were usually the worst tippers.
Often, I was hurt with such a strong injustice. In my view, I was working so much harder than any of those VIPs. And, yet I was struggling.
