Have you heard the promise ‘riches are in niches’?
This hijacked term is highly marketable. It lures the crowds giving them a false illusion of instant riches.
I was hooked on that prospect at one point in my life.
While it is absolutely true — the more specific and precise your message is, the more clients you will attract. You simply cannot speak to masses in today’s market. However, the statement “riches are in niches” is fundamentally wrong.
Here is why.
About 8 years ago, when I was fed up with my life: the job, broken relationships and living on…
I was always ashamed to share what I did, when I was working as a server.
I never liked the serving job.
It was below my potential.
And admitting that I was a server in a restaurant was equivalent to diminishing my value.
I was stuck and frustrated.
I didn’t appreciate the journey I was on. Apart from the money, there wasn’t any other advantage to the job.
I remember clearly the moment when I was so fed up and I made a confident decision to change my life.
I have decided to step from being a server in a…
What is it exactly that you do? Asked my uncle in Ukraine.
After 15 min explanation, he looked at me suspiciously and concluded, “So, you sell air.”
I mean, we are talking about Ukraine, where information marketing is an unknown concept.
Technically yes, I do sell air that allows people I work with to breeze freely in life without hassle, worry and fears.
I do show them how to get oxygen in the lungs of their business and life.
If that sounds too poetic, here is a more tangible explanation.
I help new coaches and speakers define their…
I used to stand under a scorching hot South Florida sun for about 7–8 hours a day. Yes, there was an umbrella, but it was still unbearable.
Being a hostess in a restaurant in Miami Beach was one of the toughest jobs I’ve ever had.
It wasn’t just physically and emotionally draining, I was constantly full of fear and worry.
There was so much pressure on me from the management and the entire stuff.
You see, my job wasn’t just meet and greet people that came to the restaurant. …
There are good and bad days in life and business. I have no problem with that. We just have to deal with it.
What drives me mad is when technology doesn’t work the way it is supposed to.
Today, it is one of those days for me.
I cannot stand being stuck. I am always applying a proactive attitude and look for solutions. But there are certain issues that I cannot control. And it feels like banging my head against the wall.
Can you relate?
When you are following the instructions and doing the right steps, but it doesn’t work?
“I can help you transform your life” is the prevalent message of coaches beginners.
While the power of coaching is transformational, such message is not getting any traction.
Transforming your life is too generic.
For some women, life transformation is loosing extra 10 pounds. For others, it is finding an ideal partner. It could also be a profitable lifestyle business.
I speak with coaches from all over the world on a daily basis, and their most common reason of being stuck and unfulfilled is not having enough clients.
And the prevalent reason of not having clients is either a lack…
I used to do a lot of speaking. Free of charge.
Ever since I discovered my passion for motivational speaking, I was on fire. Every time there was an opportunity to speak, I would jump on it.
I loved the momentum and the process of getting good.
However, I really wanted to make money spreading the message of inspiration.
I used to love the compliments from the audience. “How come you are so young and so smart!” “I loved your speech!” “Very inspirational message!” Or, my ‘favourite’ one “I wish you great success.”
There weren’t such comments as: “We would…
Have you ever tried putting your underwear after you have put on your jeans? Or your bra after you have put on your blouse?
No, me neither.
Well, I suppose, I did, when I was a child and didn’t know any better.
But when you grow up, you just don’t do it. Like you don’t put the hair conditioning before you wash your hair. Or, you don’t put foundation before applying face cream.
You get my point.
We all perfectly understand the importance of doing things in order.
It is called common sense.
When it comes to building a coaching…
Have you ever worked really hard on something, putting so much efforts and it felt like pushing water uphill? No matter what you tried, you just felt more stuck? And in the end, the result was utterly disappointing?
Let me share my personal story.
I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, being so fed up working at a restaurant job.
“You should be a model,” one of my friends said to me. “I mean, seriously, you are perfect for it. You will be highly successful with your looks,” she insisted.
I liked the…
There are so many talented, experienced, creative coaches and consultants who have a big heart to help other people.
Yet they are stuck and frustrated.
They work very hard. They read a lot of books, they utilise different marketing approaches, yet they don’t have the results they are so desperately seeking.
I know. I have been one of those hustling coaches who wanted to change the world, even if it was one person at a time.
I had a powerful story of life transformation: from poverty in Ukraine to building a dream life in the USA on my own. …
